Ashok Kumar Jaryal is affiliated to All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, a leading Medical School in India. He is presently working as Professor of Physiology with additional responsability as Sub-Dean, Examination.
He has 15 years of teaching experience in Physiology, 10 years of experience in research with focus on autonomic cardiovascular physiology and 5 years of experience in intra-operative neurophysiological monitoring.
He has built the IONM services at AIIMS from scratch, beginning with providing IONM services to Department of Orthopaedics during deformity corrective surgeries in 2011 and later expanded these services to Departments of Neurosurgery, Trauma and Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery. As of now, about 150 surgeries a year are being supported with IONM services at All India Institute of Medical Sciences under his guidance.
He has a vision for advancement of IONM expertise, training and services in India in accordance with the established procedures used in the developed countries with emphasis on development of educational programs and certification courses to maintain highest standards of IONM practice.
